Siddha Medicine: India’s Ancient Healing Wisdom
India is home to many rich healing traditions, and Siddha medicine stands tall as one of its most ancient and profound systems. Rooted in Tamil Nadu and believed to be over 5,000 years old, Siddha healing is not just a medical practice—it’s a way of life.
We honor and integrate this powerful tradition in our health services, especially in treating chronic conditions like Piles, Fistula, and Fissure, under the guidance of our founder Mr. T.G. Ravi Kumar.
What is Siddha Medicine?
Siddha comes from the word Siddhi, which means “perfection” or “attainment.” Siddha medicine is believed to have been developed by 18 Siddhars, spiritual saints who mastered alchemy, herbalism, and yoga.
Unlike modern medicine that focuses only on symptoms, Siddha aims to treat the root cause by balancing the three fundamental humors:
- Vatha (Air)
- Pitha (Fire)
- Kapha (Water)
Key Features of Siddha Healing
- Use of Natural Herbs, Metals & Minerals: Siddha medicines are made from over 2,000 types of herbs, combined with purified metals like mercury and gold in minute doses.
- Focus on Lifestyle, Diet & Spiritual Practice: It treats the body, mind, and soul as one. Special attention is given to meditation, yogic breathing, and food habits.
- Effective for Chronic Illnesses: Conditions like piles, skin diseases, asthma, arthritis, digestive issues, and nerve problems respond well to Siddha therapy.
- Personalized Treatment: Every person’s constitution (Udaliyal) is unique. Siddha treatment is tailored based on an individual’s prakriti (body type).
